I have a couple of good members who happen to use MACs, and for the past couple of months, they haven't been able to access my video without it pausing like crazy. It's really unwatchable for them, constant, not like the usual easycam pause. I tried switching to IFcam but for EVERYONE lately when I use IFcam the sound is patchy. In easycam it is not, so I don't think it is my mic. Is there anything I can suggest to MAC users than "get a PC?" :(

Assuming you are talking about iFriendsV2, they can use the latest version of FireFox on their MACs. This works and is fully supported.

I'm researching this very issue right now. Seems the V2 version of ifriends doesn't do anything different for allowing my Mac to transmit than version one. I actually USED to be able to transmit my images from my built-in iSight cam on my Mac to my favorite chathost at one point in time, but about a month ago, it suddenly stopped. Nobody can tell me why...not ifriends, not the "experts" at the genius bar, and certainly nobody in the discussion groups.

As soon as I get it figured out though....I fully plan to open up a pay website for people to pay for the information. This seems to be the hottest topic on here for chathosts and Mac users.

Well if you find the answer, durtee_gurrl, I'd be most interested to hearing it!

I can only add that I have done some testing as well and it appears to be purely OS related, not browser related. If I boot Windows on my Mac using Bootcamp, regardless of what browser I use (Safari/Firefox or Internet Explorer), the built-in iSight works like a charm. If I boot in OSX though, in none of the browsers the iSight will work in cam-to-cam mode. The problem is not that the image isn't broadcasted - the problem is that the camera simply doesn't get activated at all (no green light next to the lense).

The silence from iFriends Tech Support on this subject is deafening, btw. People please wake up, the population of mac users is growing! You're missing out on potential customers here.

You know what??? I use a macbook.... OSX and I can host using safari and firefox both...

Now, I have had about 3 members who can use their cam on their mac in my session... I ask them how... they just said they fired it up....
Now, I believe they weren't on a macbook, but a desktop..... So it is possible...... just don't know howwwwww!!!
